The most notable Jordan sale on Saturday was not the day's biggest: a PSA 10 modern parallel cleared $22,333.00 on fewer bids.

A 2002-03 SP Authentic Marks of Distinction Michael Jordan autograph, graded BGS 9, sold Saturday for $20,431.00 after 48 bids. It was the most notable of 311 qualifying single-card Jordan sales we tracked that day — and it was not the largest.

Why it matters

We pick the lead on notability, not on price. The day’s biggest figure was a 2021 SkyBox Metal Universe Platinum Portraits Jordan in a PSA 10 holder at $22,333.00 on 41 bids. A modern parallel in a top holder and a signed Wizards-era insert are not the same asset, and the larger number is not automatically the more informative one.

By the numbers

  • 311 sales — qualifying Jordan single-card sales on October 17, tracked across RazMania sports collectibles. 240 of them were confirmed paid, worth $343,382.62.
  • $577.00 — the confirmed-paid median for the day. Across all 311 rows the median was $575.00.
  • 91 bids — the most contested card of the day was nowhere near the top of the price list: a 1992-93 Fleer Total D #5 in a PSA 7 holder at $266.00.

Zoom in

Two grades sit on this slab and they measure different things. Beckett graded the card BGS 9 and gave the signature its own separate autograph grade — a card grade and an autograph grade are never interchangeable, whatever the listing title runs together. Signed cards did well across the board: $13,442.00 for a 2001-02 Upper Deck Honor Roll Fab Floor autograph in a BGS 9 holder on 41 bids, and $5,522.00 for a 1986 Fleer Sticker #8 rookie in a PSA 9 holder on 36 bids. Our October 15 edition led on a signed Jordan too.

Reality check

The $450,338.65 that passed through those 311 listings is not money that changed hands. 71 of them were accepted best offers, where eBay publishes the asking price and never the settled figure — $106,956.03 of asks, including a $16,999.00 ask on a 1986 Fleer #57 rookie in a PSA 8 holder that drew no bids. Reading the offer side as if it were the last trade is the same error we work to avoid in source-linked research on the stock side. 184 of the day’s sales were auctions, and those are the prices we lean on. One auction is still one print, not a market.

How we track this

RazMania monitors completed eBay sales daily, filtering out multi-card lots, reprints, non-card merchandise and cross-listed items to isolate genuine single-card sales. This edition covers 311 qualifying Michael Jordan single-card sales on October 17, 2026, enumerated as a union of 11 disjoint price bands; four of those bands were independently re-pulled as halves and all four matched, and an independent narrow probe found no same-day sales the main pull had missed. No comparable-sale median is quoted today: the pool for this card was too thin to quote honestly. Prices are final sold prices; on an accepted best offer eBay publishes the asking price, not the settled figure. eBay reports sold date, not sold time.
