Two PSA 9 copies of the same 1986 Fleer sticker sold Saturday, at $10,456 and $5,761.

A 1986 Fleer sticker #8 Michael Jordan in PSA 9 sold for $10,456 on Saturday after 41 bids. It was the most notable of 265 qualifying single-card Jordan sales in our daily sports-collectibles tracking — and it was not the largest.

Why it matters

The day’s biggest figure belonged to a different card: a 1986 Fleer #57 rookie in PSA 8 that took $18,600 on 24 bids. The sticker is the more useful sale, because a second copy of it cleared the same day — and the pair prices one line of fine print on a PSA label.

By the numbers

  • $10,456 — the sticker’s final price, on 41 bids in an open auction.
  • $18,600 — the day’s largest confirmed sale, the PSA 8 Fleer #57 rookie.
  • 203 of 265 sales were confirmed paid prices worth $251,949.69, at a $553.00 median. The other 62 were accepted best offers, where eBay publishes the asking price and never the settled figure.

Zoom in

The second PSA 9 sticker sold for $5,761 on 31 bids. Both flips read MINT 9. The cheaper one carries PSA’s off-centre qualifier on its label — same card, same grade number, a different label, and the bidding priced the gap on its own. The day’s most contested card was neither: a 1989-90 Hoops #200 in PSA 10 drew 79 bids and finished at $491.50.

Reality check

We pulled a comparable-sales pool for the sticker and then threw it out. 116 matching sales produced a $2,389.00 median, but the pool runs from $1,687.00 at the 25th percentile to $4,551.00 at the 75th — a 2.7x spread against our 2.5x ceiling for brand-level matching. That is not one card’s market; it is several 1986 Fleer Jordan cards averaged together, so no multiple is quoted here. Valuing off the wrong peer group is the error the same evidence-led approach to stocks is built to avoid: it looks just as rigorous while being just as wrong. Two sales of one card on one day is a data point, not a market.

How we track this

RazMania monitors completed eBay sales daily, filtering out multi-card lots, reprints, cross-listed items and non-card merchandise to isolate genuine single-card sales. This edition covers the October 10, 2026 sales day: 265 qualifying single-card Michael Jordan sales, of which 203 were confirmed paid prices and 62 were accepted best offers. The comparable-sales pool for the lead card was pulled and rejected for dispersion, so no comp median or multiple is quoted. Grades and the off-centre qualifier were read directly off the PSA flips in the listing photos. eBay reports sold date, not sold time.
